XXX/Three is a Dominican Rum from Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos, the makers of Ron Barceló. It was distilled in a column-still in December, 2010 from cane juice, and then left to mature in first-fill bourbon casks until 2015. It then spent a few years in a steel tank before being transferred to ex-rum cask #22 in England. It was bottled on the 27th of August, 2019, with an outturn of 240 bottles.
Boasting notes of oak, coconut, brown sugar, molasses, pineapple and bright fruits, this rum is a stunner. Released alongside XXX/Two, this cask was too good to let it slip through our fingers.
