A second cask chosen to accompany the first (Wardhead), this Ardmore was too special to ignore. This bottling comes from Ardmore’s distilling season in 2008. After spending 11 years maturing in a bourbon barrel, it was dumped and bottled at natural cask strength by Morrison & MacKay. Devoid of coloring or filtering, this single malt Scotch whisky seeks to display what peat and bourbon maturation can do. A standout when tasted blind among many other samples, this cask boldly took the panels attention in the peated malt category.
